For some years now, we have been encouraging students to intern with us to learn more about ecological agriculture , livestock care etc.
This year, two young boys from Madhya Pradesh are spending 15 days in Ratnagiri learning more about backyard poultry and ecological agriculture . Abhishek who is from the Barela tribe and Shikariya from the Bhilala tribe are students of the Adarshila learning center located in district Badwani of Madhya Pradesh . Shikariya is originally from village Jalsindhi which was submerged by the Sardar Sarovar dam .
Both boys are keen to learn more about improved poultry care as a livelihood activity and will simultaneously try and clear their 10th Board exams through the open school system.
Rajan Kulye and Smita Kulye in Ratnagiri will be their chief mentors .
