A study was conducted across 35 farming households in the Periurban area of Pune city in Maharashtra India. Details across farming systems, livestock types, cost of production, labour use, etc. were studied. These have then been contrasted with other systems of production.
This project looks at agro-ecological practices related to livestock species normally overlooked by policy and research in the country as well as in areas that are neglected by mainstream development processes .
