ANTHRA along with Action Aid , India organized a two-day seminar entitled ‘Livestock-based livelihoods: An action programme for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands’ between 23-24 November 2006 at Port Blair., Andaman Islands, India.

The main objectives of the seminar were to bring in different perspectives related to livestock care including critical environmental concerns, to discuss and deliberate on an action plan for livestock development on the Islands and to formulate a suitable course of action to enhance and enrich the livelihoods of people dependant on agricultural and livestock resources.
