- Dr, Anjaria , a world renowned veterinarian passed away in July 2026. He had been associated with Anthra and Anthra’s work since 1994. He contributed to the early growth and learning of Anthra in countless ways.

  “I first met Dr. Jayvir Anjaria at one of the mees organised by Anthra years ago in the year 2000 when I was first invited to join the Board . We were both veterinary pharmacologists but he was a very senior professor  and had by then retired  as Head, Department of Pharmacology,  college of Veterinary Sciences Anand, Gujarat and I was mid-career.
  
  We would meet frequently thereafter at the meetings of the Indian Society for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology ( ISVPT)  in different Veterinary Colleges across the country. Dr. Anjaria  received his Masters in Veterinary Pharmacology from the College of Veterinary Science Mathura and was amongst the first MVSc’s in Veterinary Pharmacology from that college. His knowledge of medicinal plants and their use was profound and several young pharmacologists including myself were in awe of him.
  
  His wife  always travelled with him and very soon they had adopted me as their daughter and I would also visit them in their house in Ahmedabad where they welcomed all of us who visited with a lot of warmth and affection.
  
  He had been suffering from poor health for some years now but he would always rally around . This time it was not to be . His passing away is a huge personal loss . Our heartfelt condolences to his family.”
