    In preparation for the civil society resistance to the introduction of yet another GM crop in the country namely Bt. Brinjal, Dr.Sagari Ramdas and Shri Velpulla Yadayya a shepherd from Village Gummadivalli, Warangal district, AP, participated in a public hearing on GM crops organized by the Human Rights Law Network, New Delhi on January 28th and 29th 2010 in New Delhi. On 30th January Adivasi organizations in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vishakapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Khammam and Adilabad, Shepherds Sangham and Brathukuderuvu Mahila Sangham in Medak along with Anthra, participated in the nation-wide fast against BT Brinjal, coinciding with Martyrs Day. Dr Sagari Ramdas, Sanyasi Rao and Apparao participated at the Public Hearing on BT.Brinjal, chaired by Mr.Jairam Ramesh on 31st January in Hyderabad.
