  • Pastoral Manifesto

    Pastoralist groups in Maharashtra came  together to  write  a manifesto stating their demands and concerns . This manifesto was released prior to the State election in Maharashtra .

    The Manifesto , looks at issues related to recognition and rights of different migratory pastoral communities , at access to resources and services , recognition of breeds of livestock kept by pastoral communities and finally at new opportunities for marketing their produce. 

    Several representatives of Pastoral communities signed the document in a meeting held in Pune in September 2019
