  • Women’s Day celebrations

    Events to celebrate women’s day will take place in all the project areas over the month of March. The celebrations have already begun. A team of shepherd women from Solapur district are visting farmers in Ratnagiri in the first week of March. A cooking competition has been organized at Ratnagiri where only local ingredients will be used. The visitors will also visit the farm plots and demonstration units for ecological farming. For many women from Solapur this may be the first time they see paddy and finger millet cultivation as the dry districts of Solapur have different farming practices. This may also be the first time they see the sea down by Ganpati pule Later in the week farmers from Ratnagiri will visit Bhaskar Saves ecological farm in Dahanu district to learn more about the practices he follows.
