This book is in two volumes. Volume One guides the reader in participatory approaches to planning and monitoring livestock interventions with the community. It also discusses sound animal management practices essential for good health and production- for animal in the overall context of sustainable natural resource use. The final part of this volume discusses principles of diagnosis, different systems of medicine, principles of medicine making and administration. The second volume is about specific diseases that effect livestock and poultry their treatment and prevention.
