    • Shepherds request

    • On Dec 1, 2021 North and West India experienced unusual weather and unprecedented rainfall. The rains which started early that morning continued well into the night and flattened crops ,   destroying the hard work  of several farmers . Also affected were migratory shepherds . Especially,  shepherds who had penned their animals for the night on  fields of harvested cotton . The black sticky soil made it  extremely difficult to rescue  animals who were stuck in the soil which rapidly turned to clay. Several animals died that night . The shepherds could not call  for help as their mobiles  were soaked in the unrelenting rain.

A team from Anthra , went on a fact finding mission and spoke to several shepherds . A small documentary has been made to throw light on the situation as well as offer solutions to prevent such incidents in the future .
